DeAnima

I made it all the way to Floor 9 and really wanted to make a loop just to be on the safe side but the middle room was a Lair so that was out of the question. I had a fight with a Shade that left me low on health before I could finish him off so I retreated to recover some health but immediately ended up in a room with a Troll. It was a big room so I somehow managed to manoeuvre myself to get the Troll and the Shade on my tail.

Luckily there was a shop on my route back where I could squeeze through the chests but the monsters had to go around so I got some distance on them. But then I ended up in a corridor with another Troll ahead of me and the other two were a few tiles behind me at this point. Shit. My inventory was full but mostly unidentified. I took a punt on a scroll and it was just what I needed – a map! And low and behold the exit was just past the next room. I sprinted for it and I just made it to the elevator when I heard the Troll attacking. But I was already descending to Floor 10 so I just made it by the skin of my nose! 

On an earlier floor I accidentally used a blast scroll next to Hegor which killed him in an instant. Oops! And wouldn’t you know it, he was waiting for me on Floor 10 and seeking revenge! He was on my tail from the start and I was running around trying to find The Crown with him right behind me. Luckily, when I opened the door to the next room, there was the crown in all its glory!

I went to pick it up, hoping Hegor’s attack would miss. It did, but guess what? My inventory was full, god damn it. No room for the Crown. I stood still for a while staring at Hegor considering my options as carefully as I could. I decided to use another unidentified scroll and… another stroke of luck. It was an Identify All scroll and suddenly everything in my inventory was identified! Amazing. 

Immediately after I read the scroll, Hegor attacked and reduced my HP to 20. I had a Sanctify scroll but no chests to put it in. I decided to use a Potion of Poison to whittle down his health and then get him on the next hit but the potion missed! My health was dangerously low at this point and I panicked. I should’ve prayed and hoped for divine intervention to teleport me elsewhere but stupidly I decided to attack one more time and he got me. What an idiot. Why didn’t I just pray?!
